The Florida Arts Network is dedicated to promoting the arts in Florida. Our goal is to help people in the performing arts community support each other and collaborate on various projects. From workshops to film production, we use networking to facilitate this collaboration.
We are not a for profit corporation, so we don't really have a way to generate income. We are not a non-profit organization either, so we can't apply for grants or offer tax deductions. We are just a handful of people trying to get other people together so that we can do what we love to do...create. Until we can become one of the two types of entities I mentioned, everything we do has been coming out of our own pockets. We can no longer afford to keep doing that. Here's where you come in. We need your help with costs incurred running Florida Arts Network. I'll give you a few examples.
a. Domain name and tools used to maintain the site - $300/year.
2. Summer Potluck
a. Renting a shelter at a public park - $200.
b. Security deposit - $200.
3. Rose Warner Award Show
a. Venue - the price for that varies by location, but it's not cheap.
b. Trophy - $150.
c. Step and repeat w/stand - $500. (More if we add sponsor logos)
1) Seek out talent and other volunteers willing to donate their time
2) Track votes
3) Create content
4) Post on multiple social media platforms
5) Create press releases
6) Send countless emails
7) Hold multiple meetings
8) Make a slew of phone calls
We do all this to organize an event that will bring the entertainment community together to recognize those that are working hard to keep it alive. Needless to say, your time is also welcome.
In the meantime, if you can chip in, we would appreciate it. And since this is a group effort, we want you to have a say in what we do for the entertainment community, so please click the button in the bottom left corner and contact us. Thanks for your help. Let's revive Florida arts...together.
